Comedy for
the people.
Common Comedy is a comedy theater and school in downtown Garland. We put on affordable shows and world-class comedy training, so anyone who wants to watch comedy, learn it or perform it has a place to do it.
What we believe
Hilarious shows that won't break the bank
Most shows are $5 and BYOB. A night out shouldn't cost an arm and a leg.
A place for everyone
Whether you're brand new or an advanced improviser, we have a class or workshop for you, taught by experienced instructors who are dedicated to the craft.
Bringing DFW comedy together
We want every stage-worthy comedian in DFW on our stage, and the whole DFW comedy community in one room.
Funny without punching down
Our comedy can get dark, weird and transgressive. That's part of the fun. But at the end, there's always a real joke. People aren't punchlines.

How it started
Common Comedy was founded in September 2026 by Moses Forge. Moses has performed in DFW since 2024 with The Understudies, A Group of People and Crime Time, and is the producer and showrunner of WOOSH! BANG! POW!
He started Common Comedy to bring high-quality entertainment and comedy education to the people of Garland and the surrounding cities.
